It is very easy to take part. If you, a family member or a friend would like to take part, registering at the study centre via phone (+49 (0)431 597 3711) or email (infoforschungsgruppe-gesundes-alternde) is all that is needed to start. Our study centre sends a project package to you by post. It contains detailed information on the research project, a questionnaire on current and earlier living conditions, a prepaid self-addressed envelope and a kit for collecting a blood sample which we kindly ask you to let your GP take during his/her next visit. Sending back the blood samples and the questionnaire is all you need to do for taking part in the project.
Our scientists will then process the blood samples to investigate the DNA.
